Yes, if you live in the country and have a well yours is free.
A cousin from Tucson says her water is $80/month for just household. No lawn or garden.
Whats yours for you who have city water?
Our sewer, water, trash is $174/ 2 months

I just got on rural water last fall. I got a monthly statement last week and it was $74.64 $65 is for being hooked up, $9.64 for the water we used. Our well water was real hard. It would eat a washing machine in a year to two. You could not drink it. So I was happy to get rural water. Hauling drinking water and going to town once a week and doing was was not free. It cost me about $20 a week doing wash and $6 for drinking water.

Oh how wrong you are...

I have a well. Over the years I have replaced the well pump once, the pressure tank twice. Fixed a broken waterline at the well and due to having sulfer water we have a clorinater, carbon filter, softener system and a reverse osmosis for the drinking water. All of which require maintenance and supplies to keep them running.

I may not have a monthly water bill , but it is far from free.

city water bills usually 74 dollars that includes water, sewer. trash and also water runoff (dont get me started about this bravo sierra.. they charge me $ 5.25 a month for water that runs off the driveway an sidewalks into the storm sewer.

goes up to 100 or so if i have to water the garden. I try to keep enough water stored for that usually unless its a dry spell for an extended time

water and electric are on one bill that runs about 125 a month the water is probably more like the 25
Sewer is on another bill by it's self and that runs about 35 a month and used to be 45 a month with an additional person.

when summer hits the electric bill climbs

a guess would be around 60-70 dollars a month for water and sewer

natural gas is a third bill

garbage is on the property tax bill and is paid annually

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

My pump is on a separate meter so I pay $38 a month for electricity which is the minimum fee. When irrigating with our household pump it goes about double that in the summer months. I've got 37 years and counting on this pump so far. Pressure tank needs to be replaced soon though...has a bladder pinhole leak.

Rural water. Could easily have well but no from the wife. Read your own meter. Increments are 100 gallons. Minimum monthly is 1000 gallons. Water comes from wells in the river bottom. Here are some of our rates per month:
1000 gallons=$42
3000=$59
6000=$80
10000=$100
20000=$182

$90 give or take a little. Will go up a bit now that the garden is in. That includes sewer and trash pick up.

Ours is $33.00 this month. Bill came in the mail today. We have a well we use for lawn and garden watering. In 30 years, we had to replace the pump once.
