One hand is about 3 inch stroke and one is about an inch then a release that retracts with springs and go back as far as you want it too. I just didn't want to have another gas engine wetting around the whole year or an electric one that I would need to run a generator. The thing fits my needs very well.

is that ash all that hard to split when you cut it that short
I cut stuff short for the smoker then it dries fast and splits easy with an ax
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

In the wood splitter post you made, I wondered if one of those hand splitters would work for you. Like I said in that post how much you are going to split makes a difference in what you need. I am glad you are happy with it.

Yes if you need to split wood for a year it may not be your first go splitter. They are about a foot long and this is ash, I have a small stove in the remote line shack so the size work good for me. Fill it up and add a few ash pieces work well for me. The axe work is becoming more work for me and this takes that out of this job.
Not trying too convince anyone this is the product for them but that it took the work out of running an axe.

They work great, but the O-Ring seals blow out pretty quick.
