Last week at 76 degrees and 37% humidity, I speed dipped a bunch of old and new 330s. They dried within an hour.

Today I speed dipped a bunch of 1 1/2 coilsprings. It was about 80 degrees but the humidity was 76%. I was sweating buckets but the traps dried within 30 minutes. This makes me think humidity isn’t a factor—as it’s a Coleman lantern fuel and oil based paint type product to begin with.

Air movement helps. Between the wind blowing thru my garage and the shop vac blower, the drying time was short. If there’s any odor, it should be completely gone by trapping season.

I have experienced the similar things....except for me... a more concentrated Coleman fuel to Andy Stoe's or Kaatz Bros or Blackies or others "Speed Dip" combo say 5-6 to 1 was the key factor. I favor dry windy days....80s on up....traps are dry in hours. Doors open in the garage help too.
Tell me about your oil based paint....I am interested. Are you mixing it with the above mentioned Speed Dip or is that YOUR concoction?

I've never worried much about the temp or humidity - just dipped traps whenever I have time. I use the lantern fuel and mix 6 to 1 and never had any issues.

Yep thin. I have a bucket that I add dip and gas over the years.
I used to dip three or more times a year when I started adc beaver. Not even sure of the ratio anymore. Even if dry in 1hr, they always hang for about 12
