Somewhere like Thailand or tropical. Money will go further and healthier foods. Seems appealing and many people do it. Your thoughts? Thailand?....You wanna move to Thailand?....Well Phuket then, move to Phuket Thailand!

I know a young man that was born there from mixed culture marriage. His American dad is living there and the medical, dental and eye service is excellent. What he said and what I have heard medical is as good as here, for a fraction of the cost. This guy was going back to Thailand and have all hid dental work done. If you are Thai you get free medical which this man is being born there.
If you have a million bucks you are a King there.

He works summers here and spends winters in the Philippines drinking beer and playing golf. Subic Bay area full of expats

You can't drink their water, and fish and meat are not always refrigerated. Take some Pepto with you. Maybe so, but American diet isn't very healthy either. Maybe contributed to many of your health problems?

Not sure why anyone would wish to move away from a country that people literally die trying to get in to. Many people do. World travel is fun. Traveling throughout the United States is also fun.

I spent three years living in the tropics. As much as my eyes strained looking along all those river banks...never saw any beaver sign!

Tropical places get boring and the heat a little overwhelming. Most Counrties that you might consider have as good as, if not better health care than you get in the USA; much cheaper and faster too.
Someone mentioned Costa Rica, that might be a great choise, live at about 7000 foot elevation, perfect climate year around, if you want some beach life, hop in your rig and wind your way down the mountain. Very safe County, and about the only latin country I know of where you don't get hassled. Same time zone as much of the US as well.

I also have a friend who lives in Thailand. He is a military civilian retired guy aged about 70 or a bit more and has lived there for15 years now. Owns a chunk of land and a big boat and is quite well off anyway. He is a traveler and lives up near the Cambodian border. He is originally from North Carolina way to the west and has family here. I am tempted to visit him but boy that is along airplane flight. Anyway he is very happy and a good guy......jk

I'm not a fan of the heat, nor the food on the other side of the world. Never been to Thailand, but I spent a week on Lankowi Island, Malaysia and I could see it from there. I don't care for the warm water seafood. And if you want beef, it's coming from New Zealand where they, apparently, do not like to feed their critters any grain, flavorless to me. I could, maybe, consider Singapore. Best food and cleanest country I have been to outside of the US, but expensive. Nah, I'm good here.

BTW, I have been to Thailand many times and Cambodia once. The rural areas are great, and the food endless, good, and cheap.

. I've been out of the country a few times and could eat like a king for every meal and not break the bank. If you want to get fatter just do it right where you are.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Very safe County, and about the only latin country I know of where you don't get hassled. Same time zone as much of the US as well. Costa Rica is definitely more expensive than some others, but like you said, you don't get hassled. I loved my time there and the standard of living even for the working class seemed pretty good. As far as healthcare goes, once in Ecuador I had to go to a private hospital for a bad sprain and I got treated like royalty. Barely any wait time, ultrasounds, lots of one on one time with the doctor, physical therapy twice a week for a month, and I think I paid a total of $350. This was 10 years ago. I also used the public hospitals, though, and they're awful. Anybody that's on the fence should just go, it's not that expensive to get to Latin America and if you like it you could easily retire 10 years early with the money you'd save.
