Guys, that storm that passed through last night/this morning dropped a BUNCH of rain in areas that were already well saturated. They are saying Avoyelles Parish (our version of a county) got something like 29 inches. None of it affected me or my immediate area but those folks could use some kind thoughts. I have some relatives in the area but haven't heard if it affected them. I think TD Trapper is from that area too.

Wow. A few years ago I saw what 12 inches in 13 hours could do; it put a 38 foot rise on a local river. But then I live in the Ozarks on top of a 1300' hill and it didn't really affect me too much. More of an annoyance than anything else.

I can't imagine what 29 inches in flatland county would do. No way to get away from it but to run away from it inland.
That's like the flooding you hear about when the hurricanes go through.
