Does anyone know where to buy otter boards that are 8 inches wide and 6 feet long.

Hope burns eternal in the heart of a trapper.

There's nothing colder than a fur buyers heart!

I traced out boards from an old board years ago, freehanded with the table saw and roughed them out with a power hand planer. And sanded to finish. First one was with a hand plane the day I needed it…

I made my own from 3/4"x8" and 3/4"x10". Ripped the 3/4"x10", (actually was only 9-1/4"), pine from our local lumber store. Ran a router around the edges and a quick session with a palm sander. I also free-handed the pattern using the FHA design for the desired taper. I made one wide board 7' long for the jumbo otter we had in southeast Alaska, and that one got the most use.

Just doing what I want now.
