I'll curse myself saying it, but I've had only one deer fly, a few stable flies, a few ticks and a few mosquitoes bite me this year. We had a very cold, mostly dry Winter and a dry Spring. I think it reduced a lot of pests.

Black flies here aren’t too bad - yet. It’s been below average temperatures for a while.

Not yet but they will be coming in August. Gnats, mosquitos and black fly's nothing worse except ticks.

Was up by the little Abitibi diversion this afternoon taking care of a nuisance beaver contract on the otter rapids hydro road.
Blackflys werent too bad but the mosquitos were savage.
Uncle buck took care of one beaver there already.
Seen a nice blackbear on the way back.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Our coastal flies are a problem one day before a wind shift to NE.

Tanglefoot

Sticky and a light coat is all you need
Almost reaches out and grabs them.
Never seen one get away from it, even when starting out with only one "foot" in it.

I save the 30 0z bottles and when one gets covered I make a replacement

Is the Tanglefoot blue or did you pain the bottle blue first?
