Medication hasnt helped yet but the dr changed meds so hopefully it will help. She is a nurse practioner. Her dr said she is the second case this year and the other one died.
My wife worked with a gal in KS that got tularemia from eating wild rabbit. It got into her brain and she ended up dying.
I had a tiny tick this spring attached to my unmentionables. My wife looked at it and couldnt tell if it was a tick or a mole. The second day she noticed it was bigger (the tick) and successfully removed it. Hate those things.

This is the first year I’ve seen those tiny ticks. They burrow in and don’t look like a regular tick.

I had tularemia when I was a kid. Got it from skinning a rabbit. Had a cut on my hand that got rabbit blood in it. Not sure what the medicine was,but had to get 2 shots per day for 14 days. Pretty much missed the year of school. Just remember be extremely tired and my body was sore lymph nodes under my arms swollen alot. No long term affects tho,supposedly can't get it again. But I did stop skinning rabbits before a hard freeze.

I sure hope all goes well. Like gcs said ticks are a scary thing. Everything wants to kills us.
