I ordered a custom Antler Rocky Mountain in 7PRC…….which should be ready in 4-6 weeks. Just got a CZ 600 in 7.62x39 in the mail yesterday, but I’m working up north so it’s still in the box by the bed…….lol
Of course, my check wasn’t that big, but we like to keep about a $$7G float in the trapping account.

I remember my first year trapping though. Wish I made enough my first year to get something like that. I turned my first fur payout into more traps and gear. Sold to FnT and blew all my money there. I recall it included: 6 Victor 1.75s, Berskshire anchors, Backbreaker, Mirandas Farmland Fox, Lenons Muskrat and a pair of gauntlets.

Back in the day gpa caught enough mink that whoever he sold to had a coat made for him to give to gma. I always thought that was cool.

Nice rifle. The SS is probably handy in Alaska huh. In Ohio I have trouble wanting to carry around something that reflects like that giving away my position. Do you think that is justified or I'm just crazy?

Not putting a scope on it Scott, just open sights. Got my CZ 550 in 9.3 with a 25 inch barrel with a scope on it. Wanted a handier rifle for walking for moose sheds in early winter and spring, also getting bored with moose hunting, been trying to get as close as I can before shooting, just to spice things up.
Ohio, I hunt mostly in Carhartts and solid color hoodies, having a stainless gun has never seemed to attract attention. Having the wind in your favor, moving slow, and having background behind you is more important than camo, whether I was hunting in the swamps in Florida, or the tundra in Alaska.
