Bought another boat with a live well I've not seen before. The aerator switch fills it but how do you drain it? My other boats have a plug or a tube. I've looked for other switches with no luck. Anyone know how this thing drains? Thanks.

That lower short black section sticking on the white pipe looks like it might have had a valve handle attached to the top. Wonder if there is a ball valve in that lower short black section.

Is there a red nozzle on the sprayer where it puts water into the live well? Sometimes you can pull that out a little bit and put it on recirculate and it will pump the water out.

My Procraft has a remote drain valve handle mounted on the inside of the hull next to the drivers seat.

That’s my guess too. One of my boats has an in line valve like that right b4 it goes into bottom of the live well.

I had one like that , the pressure from the trasnom end of that pipe holds the water in until you trialer the boat.

mine had an overflow that drained out the side of the boat if it got too full.

so the pump would fill it , the pressure would hold it in , and when you got it on the trailer it back flowed through the pump and emptied.

that round dounught looking thing in the back is probably your overflow

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When the pump on mine would fill the box I had to shut off the valve if I wanted to turn off the pump. Water would drain down to same level as hole in transom otherwise. It had an overflow out the side of boat if you wanted to keep pump running.

If I'm keeping fish, I just use the livewell like a cooler and fill it with ice.

I have a Northwoods with this setup.
As stated the black piece has a ball valve ( appears to be missing handle ).
Turn on pump and close valve and water is diverted to the top ( aeration) pipe.
Grommet is overflow if you want to keep aeration going.
Turn off pump and open valve to gravity drain backwards.
Turn on pump with valve open to quick fill tank.
Not as confusing as I make it sound
