I just picked up a refill for Entresto. Cost me $17.59. On the patient information sheet that comes with it it says, "The retail price of this prescription without insurance is $792.99." This is for 60 tablets, a one month supply. I also have a couple of others that are even more expensive. How in the world can 60 tabs cost almost $800.00? What a racket! I thank God I have insurance.

I don't have a copay on it thank God but my farxiga (for diabetics with heart problems) would be $1000 a month to buy outright.

I lived most of my life without insurance, I have it now.
What you do is live and die like man has for thousands of years before pills and shots.
Natural remedies, a healthy diet and tough it out.....if that doesn't work, you'll just solve the great mystery

you don't get new research on drugs & regulatory approvals with $5/month medicines...

I always correct the pharmacy cashier when they say "this one's free". No it's not.

not a clue.

but no profit...no new drugs.

we recently bought some shares of a company's stock because the commercial upside of their product is promising. If we didn't expect to profit from the stock, we wouldn't have purchased it.

My meds are almost 10K per month. I've been told that the high cost is to pay for all the years research that's gone into it but I don't believe any of it. A good trapper friend of mine worked for big pharmacy and said they have no intentions of finding a cure for any big name diseases. At best they develop something that will help maintain it but with side effects. Then the doctors prescribe more meds to help with that. Why would big pharmacy find a cure when they are raking in huge proffits?

Cheapest price I could find for Eliquis was Good RX at a little over $700 for a 3 month supply. Am now getting it for $33 for a 3 month supply through our local VA.

If the drugs are being sold in other countries at a cheaper price, should we not be able to import them?

Based on income, the state drug plan for me requires a $500 deductible, after satisfying that deductible each monthly generic script is $5 and brand name is $15.

Why can't other countries pay a higher price and make it even?

Politicians on both sides have been promising to fix this mess for a long time. Liars, all.
