Also like to mix water and vinegar with a little sugar and salt and pepper, let them soak a little.

Now that brings back memories of dad eating those as a snack and watching the World Series…when I got older I would partake as well…haven’t had any for a long time.

A bit off topic Nessy but I tried your brine and a fresh cut pork loin into thick chop size slices yesterday. It was good eating and quite tender. Been a while since I have cooked chops but it was worth the time in prepping them. I let mine marinate for 6 plus hours. I was busy doing other things most of the day but it still worked out well.

I put salt right in the water and they suck that up and get the salty taste right in them.
