Looking for suggestions on best wall tent company and suggestions on tent for 4 people and stove.
Questions:
1. WIll this tent always be used for 4 people? If not, you might think about a smaller tent, say 12x14, which will handle three or less just fine. If you've got the $$, a "cook shack" or smaller tent could be added to the front (or back) for added living space and/or cooking area.
2. Will this tent be used when bugs are an issue? If not, do you need windows with screens?
Back in the mid to later 80s I ordered a 12x14 wall tent from the Colorado Tent Company. Had windows with screening installed plus a back window. It has served us very well over the years and continues to do so. I understand one of the fellas from this company formed the
Davis Tent Company. From what I've seen and heard the tents coming out of there are still of high quality. Davis has a good website, check it out.

if there's electric, we plug in . . if not we run a Honda generator out the back and "muffle" it as much as possible
If only used for winter camp, there is another tent company that I highly recommend for quality and getting exactly what you want. Spring Valley Lodges in northern Illinois. Jim Fairchild makes excellent tents to your specs.

Lots of things to consider. Keep it simple. And most of all . . be sure you pack it dry and keep the mice out of it. It should last you many, many years.
