Tore my bicep loose at the elbow and had surgery on Thursday to fix it, anyone been through this?
Its sore but not painful so far, mostly the pressure spots from the splint.
Bored as heck and only day 2.

I have Texas biceps so never experienced that lol

4 to 6 months,, they found an old broken bone from my bull riding days in the xrays, don't remember hurting it before but pics don't lie.

I did this a couple weeks ago during the first round of big fires in the Reno area. Was a busy week with the fires, my house , moms and work ( 1500 horses) all in the evacuation zone.

Hope your able to get the rest you need to heal that up, sounds awful. Praying for a speedy recovery for ya.

I wish you the best and never have had any type of surgery. You will be barn sour in 4 to 6 months doing nothing.

Last summer one of my crewmen noticed my right bicep was bunched up down near mybelbow, it had detached on the upper part, don't kniw when it happened, never hurt. Hasn't really slowed me down.

Friend of mine tore his throwing something into a dumpster, he did get it fixed, but he owned a fish store so didn't really give it a lot of time to heal, never went to PT either...Like the old timers said, he worked it out!, lol
Not saying this was a good decision, but he's still pulling crab pots at 82..

I guess it all depends on the type of tear, location, etc...Hope it heals up fast...

Hope you heal up quick. You mite be surprised at the amount of things you can get done more or less using one arm.

Was off work for six weeks, went back "light" duty for four more weeks, cut me loose to full duty after that. Tore mine from the elbow up, also ripped the forearm muscles from elbow down to wrist.

Thanks for the reply, gives me some encouragement at least.
Ill go check things a couple times this week at work have a few contracts to look at and payroll for the guys to certify.
