CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The son of a Huntersville Town Commissioner is behind bars, charged with first-degree murder. An arrest affidavit reveals that 21-year-old Evin Quarles allegedly targeted 17-year-old Cameron Brice on Kittansett Drive in the University Area, telling the teen “we have smoke” before firing four shots.

Police tracked Quarles’ Ford F-150 using Flock license plate readers as he fled the scene. Detectives say they later obtained a third-party confession before Quarles turned himself in. He is the son of Town Commissioner Edwin Quarles.

This Flock bs is just the latest of something to whine about. Ironically, everyone who cries about Flock online does so on a device thats been tracking and listening to them for years. All while probably giving them brain cancer.

Meanwhile, local PDs here are letting go peeping toms left and and right. Peachtree City just referred two officers to the GBI for flock misuse.

Flock Cameras have been proven to be abused by Police everywhere. That is a fact. Milwaukee Officers were caught using them to track exes.

My security camera (game camera) just caught someone in his underwear and knee boots, with two dogs, carrying a long gun across my front yard. Oh wait, that was me, with a catch pole carrying a possum the dogs caught eating the cat’s food. Thank goodness it was blurry

There called flock cameras because there clustered in areas like a flock of birds so they can cover everything




Yes and a lot of home owners also have things like ring cameras or even surveillance cameras but unlike flock cameras if they want access to the video from those they genuinely need to obtain a warrant unlike flock cameras where they generally have open access to whatever is on them, the same need to obtain a warrant gos for an information gathered and stored on your cell phone or other devices

To me it’s no different then if the police had open access to your cell phone or computer information without need of a warrant

If the dude had not been seen on the Flock camera, I doubt he would have surrendered to the police. The camera took a murderer off the streets in short order.

The problem with flock is that there is a contract signed for there use and what happens to the data that's stored. Many have been found to not following the contract that was signed.
