Iíve been using mouse bedding in holes and under chaff sets . It works very well.

Snare them like squirrells-on a running pole.Lethal when they drop off.
All animals can be snared.

A single strand of 7 X 7 snare cable will also work and once the curl is straightened out, can be loaded.
I've used it and once also snared a least weasel using it
