First modern sporting weapons, now handguns - what next - semi auto rifles and shotguns? To heck with your kids or grandkids to ever have the chance to buy a handgun. I fire a .22 mag handgun more than any weapon I own. No - I wont up and die without it - but to not be able to own it would be one more assault on my choice. If using a centerfire rifle - I shoot only an AR 15 - probably the most practical weapon for sporting use - as long as the available calibers are sufficient for the game. My five or six most used firearms are not even legal for purchase in Canada. NEVER willingly give up your freedoms - any of them. I guess sheep are the most popular livestock in canada.
