That looks great. I may need to get the campfire going next weekend and cook some. Over an open fire is the only way I will cook them.

Looks great, Flipper! I definitely love them both the same. I do love boning northerns though. Lots of folks don't! I agree, northerns are easy to clean and remove the Y bones, and worth the extra work. I will take Pike over Walleye every time ! Get alot down on Lake StClair. Bob I am surprised at the people that wouldn't consider keeping them. looks great bet it tasted better than it looks Thanks, Roy

Most people who don't keep northerns because of the Y bones. If they would learn how to remove them, they would find northerns are good eating. Although, I prefer walleyes to northerns. My favorite fresh water fish to eat would be perch. I have friend whose favorite fish to eat is smallmouth bass, if you can believe that. I think his taste buds are shot. That is one fish don't care for. I never keep them whenever I catch one.
Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.
