No offense but I waited to trap a groundhog for a week at my one customers down the road, it paid off cause today I had a big fat ghog. So wait and maybe you will have the fox soon. Also if you really liked trapping you would make a few sets and lose sleep thinking of how to make it better then you would check it and tune it and fix it till you had the fox. I’ve never caught a fox but that works for me with other critters

Don't know much about fox but when it comes to coyotes "tweaking" your set regularly is not good and a common mistake made by beginners. I like to set them and leave them. I don't add more lure or bait and check them as faraway as I can. A lot of sets get checked with binos if I can. Every 5th or 6th day I'll get close enough to see if trap has been sprung or dug.

Kid u got to know all the rules and regulations before you set a single trap. You can get in some real trouble if you do something wrong and if you catch someone's pet while trapping illegally it can get real serious fast.

Ignorance of the law is not a defense in a court of law.
The onus is on you to know the law and make sure what you do is legal,and that does not only apply to trapping.
If you are not sure,read the regulations which are available,and you can always ask a Conservation Officer.
Asking advice on the internet or utube is useless.
