NEW YORK (AP) — ABC will reinstate Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show in the wake of criticism over his comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, officials with the network said Monday.

“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” said a statement from the network.

All that was just ABC saving face. It was the plan all along to cover for his mouth.

I'll continue to not watch his show.

Kimmel sucks, but this is at the bottom of my list of things to be outraged about.

How long has he been on the air. I never watched him, that gives you an idea how long it has been since I watched TV.

Sinclair, the affiliate that owns the bulk of the local stations, says that they will not air the show regardless of what ABC does.

Furthermore, we ask Mr. Kimmel to make a meaningful personal donation to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA," the company stated. "Regardless of ABC’s plans for the future of the program, Sinclair intends not to return ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ to our air until we are confident that appropriate steps have been taken to uphold the standards expected of a national broadcast platform."

Who really cares?
Nobody will be watching him, any sponsors will be wasting their money.
Let them throw good money after bad and continue to dig their hole deeper.

Why don't they just move his show to CNN? It wouldn't hurt their ratings any.

His first show will have a larger audience wanting to hear what’s he has to say but then it will go back to being at the bottom of the tank especially since he, as of now, lost 68 markets from Sinclair and Nexstar.

Most his shows had lots of empty seats. They used that automated laughing system. I'm not saying that in a sarcastic way. His show was really dropping in ratings over the last ten years. Look it up if you don't believe me.

At least I had heard of him. I may have watch some part of his show over the last 20 years. Only Kirk I was aware of was James Tiberius Kirk.
