I have had them for over 30 years now, last year finally could not pass two of them, had to go in and get a CT scan, both on the right side, both over 13 mm no way they were going any where but bigger
I thought the stones were a tough thing to get thru, the surgery for me was worse than having them by a large margin
No did not feel anything until the next day and then, whoa look out, there is a reason they always tell you it's not that bad, nope it's worse, three weeks of a stint, got it out finally and then another 2 weeks of fire twice a day minimum !
I could pass the stones, after I had gotten used to how to deal with them even the big ones, still have a little bottle of them for show and tell, all shapes all size except them two.
Changed my diet lots of water, no more carbonated drinks of any kind, doc said my uric acid had taken over and was a building factory for them, now thats under control, still have a constant pain in the right side after almost a year after surgery.
Kidney doctor took over the urologist's job and has me on five different pills , both kidneys clean of stones, but now my diagnosis is chronic stage 3 kidney failure due to the stones abuse and my metabolism, diet and age, a major blood draw every six months now when I see him, but says we got the failure stabilized and if I stay well will not need dialysis !!
All this brought on by an automobile/truck accident my wife had one day taking her turn to get kids to school, we lost our two youngest boys due to it and she was shaken up pretty bad as well, now things are over but the wear and tear of your body reacting to such a nightmare, my system changed in one year back then and messed up pretty badly, but you go on.
People when you feel something thats not regular , get it looked into, it could save you many more years that you might not get other wise !! I learned late, but I still have time to move forward, don't mess around with questions about your system!!
