I go to bed around 10, wake up around midnight, then I have trouble sleeping until it is morning, around 6:00 AM I finally go into a deep sound sleep for a couple hours.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I usually fall asleep poorly. I hate it.

The more you think about how you can't sleep the worse it gets. Good luck.

I fall asleep fine. On days I drink coffee I wake up too early like I just had a really good nap. Like I'm off for the holidays and can't sleep b/c I been drinking coffee this week. It takes days and weeks to get it out of my system... try going caffeine free for a few weeks if you haven't already, no cheating.

In bed and sleeping by 11:30 then mother nature calls around 4 am. Sort of lay there till 5:30 then my eyes pop open and I'm up. I do however catch about an hour nap during the day. Funny, my wife says that I snore louder and harder during my nap then at night. I drink coffee ALL day long. Used to be any little noise would wake me up but not now.

I go to bed about 9 and get up about 5 to 530. I wake up a once or twice have to readjust and fall back to sleep. Typical about 6 to 8 hours of sleep and looks like better then other posts.

After years of being on call I can wake up and let the dogs out a few times during the night and go back to sleep no problem gotta pee anyways when they wake me up so it works out for all of us. During the day a short nap and I’m good to go again.

I saw a recent article on melatonin leading to heart failure, which is unfortunate. That was more geared toward the majority of the pills or gummies marketed toward adults that are 5 mg. Doc told me stick to a childrens dose because less is more with melatonin. Been taking .5 mg and it has definitely been helping. I also hunted youtube for the right sleep sound-there are a lot to choose from.
