I have a very skewed vision of politics and people in general. I don't have that NEED for interaction with people and very much at peace when I'm in solitude. So there are many parts of what our tax and fee dollars pay for that I am opposed to. Pretty much the thought of things like why the heck do I pay additional tax dollars to feed your kid when its YOUR responsibility. The vast amount of programs out there benefit a few but paid for by the many. What ever happened to being self sufficient and paying your own way.

on my list - Get rid of salt on the roads. I'm willing to reduce the budget by making it illegal to disperse any sodium Chloride product on a public property. Take responsibility for yourself and learn how to drive. Your inability to have a snowflake on the road shouldn't force me to endure the rust caused by your needs.

and go.....

State and federal daycare subsidies. Who even knew these existed until the fraud was recently exposed.

Ps, ide rather have salt on the road than have someone slide through an intersection and kill my family.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, & I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve

1. Paying unemployment to union workers that voted to go on strike. 2. Salt and or liquid deicer on the roads(use sand only) if you can't / don't know how to drive on snow a ice either learn or stay off the roads. 3. Taking tax dollars acquired thru the sale of gas and diesel to put in bicycle lanes.

I was thinking of many subsidies, ethanol is a favorite, however these are not services, but wealth transfer programs. frown

Non-rescindable tax to fund a library. Internet access is great in my area and I don’t see the need for a brick & mortar library anymore. Even worse a portion of this tax funds a theatre.
Post offices in small rural towns. Folks drive to the county seat for groceries so I don’t see a need for post offices in small towns. Plan ahead for a visit to the county seat post office.
School mileages around here focus too much on sports and not enough on academics. If these sports teams, somehow need to play schools not in the conference and 100 miles away, it is past time to enact “parents pay to play”

I disagree about the salt. It's horrible for vehicles but it saves lives.

I would like to see many forms of subsidies phased out. I would also like to see the amount of public money that goes into building things like sports stadiums and such greatly reduced. Those businesses are not important for survival and should stand on there own 2 feet.

Rumble strips on highway centerlines. They fill with snow, melt, freeze and create potholes.
Waysides which are closed in the winter. Why have them at all. We have one 2 miles from Town when there are 2 large public parks in Town that serve the same purpose.

I'm good with making roads safer. Let's do it right and efficiently.

The list of "services" to eliminate is too long to type and I need to finish putting together a stew for the crockpot.

Let's just go with 98% of them.

The clearing of roads isn’t so you can get to your pickleball tournament, it’s so emergency vehicles can get to people who have heart attacks from shoveling snow or putting out your house fire. lol

You could almost eliminate your property taxes, if you eliminated the service of educating children.

Just cut every budget in every local, state, and federal jurisdiction, 10-15% per year for 3 years...Let the officials, and residents determine what goes and what can stay .

Our township cut 20% the first year, and 10% the next 2 years.... nobody died, everything worked, and they reined in their spending, and trust me, they could have gone deeper.

I just came back from signing a petition to stop, repeal all property taxes in Ohio. That would really help out a lot oof people. If our state can come up with 66 million dollars to help build a football stadium what else is next. Than they spend millions on stupid round a bouts when a simple traffic light or stop sign would do the same thing. I can go on and on but That's enough for now.

Lets get rid of income tax and go to a consumption tax program. that way we can all decide how much tax we pay based on what we are willing to buy.

What I love is in STL big mama weighs over 300LB. We need to send food home on days off school because can't afford to feed her 8 kids. What started destruction of this country was paying women to make baby's out of wedlock.

We had some major flooding several years ago the lake we live on went from over 100 yards from my house to to as close as 40 yards to the east of the house I had to move my coop and brooder house before they washed away. Lost about an acre of one of my lots closest to the lake it’s there but the 4 feet of soil is gone there’s a drop off now. I had to put roads in to get down to that level as the water recedes.

The road in front of my house went east to the state highway but that’s under water still the plan is to just close it in the future rather than open it back up. 100 year old farm houses are still under water on the other side of the lake roads closed over there too. The water level was heading towards the interstate that was put in and appears to be the original drainage route. The lake has no current way to run water off of it evaporation or ag watering systems are the only way it’s losing any water.

The county and State took zero responsibility for this problem but did spend $250,000 on drainage study that accomplished absolutely nothing for the residents. Not one county commissioner or employee has ever check on the damages or offered any help or even advice this whole time.

Last week I get some cryptic letter from the county about occupancy buildings that made no sense it’s just some lawyer made up BS to raise my taxes for services I’ll never see again. Nothing has changed at my place everything was permitted so it’s made up forced taxation by dividing things into a new configuration to boost my taxes. These are the same folks that want you to turn in your neighbors if they have a side job while they sit on their muffs. But if you upset their family members or friends they find ways to make problems for that person my neighbor found that out over a used lawnmower deal.

Get rid of all welfare.....that includes for individuals, farmers, and corporations. Everyone should stand on their own two feet, whether you're a person, a corn farmer, or an oil company.
