I carry two safeties in my pocket in case I lose one. I would hate to be trying to crawl out of some mucky beaver swamp in a few feet of water with a 330 on my hand lol

I got 3 fingers in a Belisle 280 a couple years ago. Bare fingers, no gloves, did it while tuning traps. I almost think those little 280's are worse than the 330's

Gotta live up to the nickname...

the Belisles 160's hurt worse for whatever the reason, i suspect the short springs on them. it truly does make one respect the power in those little boogars

I agree. I've never been able to graduate to the 330 club. Never made it past the 220 club. I'm OK with that.

When you're 20 and drop something you pick it up. When you're 80 you decide you don't need it anymore.

I still remember Bob Gilman watching me set marten traps telling me how I was to comfortable around them and was going to get caught.

You'd be correct..

The customer stores it in the Wintah.

One thing about having restrictive laws on 330’s I don’t use them enough to be in a hurry setting them.

I used to say I'd been caught in about every type of trap I owned except a 330, I respected them too much. But last fall I got my foot in someone else's 330! Didn't hurt over my boot, but the dang thing was tied down and I had to take my boot off and squat down so I could get the springs where I could compress them with my hands to get it off my boot. In the middle of a whiteout snow storm of course.
