Water opened may 1 here, but gets best later in the summer.
I use can cat food, tuna or chicken.
Anything better ?
Lasts longer?

Made the mistake once of putting good anise oil on the bait once.....

Can of cheap tuna probably best, just poke a few holes in the can, it'll last longer that way...but any fish should be good....if crayfish are like lobsters it doesn't even need to be fresh, a little stink doesn't bother lobsters...

We use fish heads in our crawfish traps.

Yank's I know bait their 'crayfish' traps with woodchucks. Some of them set them in the crick. The worst of them spell that and say that wrong too.

It help me not to have pity on what folks in southern areas have to endure for fresh water delicacies. sick

Sevell eats nuts off a coyote he captured in a puddle and calls it fresh water….
