Water opened may 1 here, but gets best later in the summer. I use can cat food, tuna or chicken. Anything better ? Lasts longer?
Made the mistake once of putting good anise oil on the bait once.....

Yank's I know bait their 'crayfish' traps with woodchucks. Some of them set them in the crick. The worst of them spell that and say that wrong too. It help me not to have pity on what folks in southern areas have to endure for fresh water delicacies. Sevell eats nuts off a coyote he captured in a puddle and calls it fresh water….

Fresh carp chunks. R you guys using regular minnow funnel traps for them? I use to build my own and traded a bunch to others I kind of copied shrimp traps we used in Hood Canal. 15*15*7 using 1*1 14 gauge cage wire Simple door on top for baiting Put ,2,3,4 funnels made from 1/2 plastic mesh. The shrimp pot design is so much better than anything else I've ever seen
Work hard play hard

I heard about him saying that one year it was so dry, he had to sip filthy water out of hoof print and was mighty happy to have that. I suspect that he left out the part about falling off his horse and spilled his last Lonestar in that there hoof print.

Made the mistake once of putting good anise oil on the bait once..... Fresh fish. Nothing beats it. I would think an old salty crab trapper like you would know thatHeads don’t last very long. I will try pulling the gills and see if that slows decay. Looking for magic…..
