Use them for certain applications, like frozen banks when spring beaver trapping, or in the fall where the set location is all rock.

I do add a piece of cable and a quick link so I don't lose them when the trap fires.

Just a quick tool to use in some locations that can add more fur to the season.

Man look like a guy could build those things pretty relay with some rod and a trap spring
