96 here today. Normal for this time of year. Had 4-5 tons of dirt stuck in my trailer. Took near an hour to get it all broke loose with a shovel. I aint dead.

I have a big AC unit in my Shop...I don't care how hot it gets.

And I was welding all Aftah noon....

My boys spent all after noon mowing yards i think they did 6. They said something about it being hot and that case of water in the cooler all but one vanashed. I rode along the 16 year old still on his learners permit and requires a parent to ride along. It looked hot but I stayed in the truck with ac running full blast.

Wonder if their houses are exempt, or do they leave their country?
I guess we take a lot of stuff for granted on this side of the pond.
It's kinda crazy, but for some of our bigger customers they actually crank the heaters or anything to increase the load and get their meter "spinning" good. It's to do with how their Electric Service Agreement is written up. The initial build is covered by us, as long as they use X amount of KW every three months over the next 3-5 years........which would more than recoup the build costs. It sounds crazy, but it's financially in the customers best interests that they use at least that amount of juice.

It ain't the heat here. It's the humidity. Its been hot and muggy all night. Never cooled off. I like having a.c. especially after working 10 hours in a in building that's not temperature controlled. Get home. Jump in the pool and have a beer or three and then relax on the a.c. I'll take it.

I remember when the only air conditioning was fans. Hot days we retreated to the basement where it was cooler. Kids now days are spoiled.

I used to bale hay in this weather. I counted myself lucky if I didn't have to mow it away. It's hot but you get used to it. The bales were lighter in full sun.

I find it hard to believe that many people keeling over from heat in that short a time frame. I suspect they are blaming the heat regardless of the actual cause of death. Have people really forgotten how to hydrate and seek shade? We bucked hay and put on metal roofs in 95+ conditions. I suspect that the reported "heat" related deaths are much like the "covid" deaths. The patient had 17 bullet holes or stage four cancer but because they tested positive for covid, it was a covid death. The alleged heat related death numbers fit an agenda to promote the climate change objective.
