I wasn't trying to offend you or suggest you were a poor driver. Just that it won't cost much to try shifting at a slightly higher RPM. No offense taken. Given the small number of vehicles produced nowadays with standards, it would not be surprising for someone to have driven only automatics and not know when to shift a standard. Keeping the rpms up out of the range where the skip happens doesn't fix the problem but only avoids the symptom and associated annoyance. Being under warranty I want it fixed.

Have you tried placing some rubber duckies on the dashboard? I see a lot of Jeep owners are doing that.
Other than that, welcome to the new world of computer controlled vehicles. Check and see what percentage of single engine airplanes are computer controlled....there's a good reason very few of them are.

Wheres all the "new vehicles save money" guys at??? Probably in the same place as the "I never buy anything that isn't 20 years old and never have any problems" guys. Now I never saw anyone claim they never had to repairs on 20 year old vehicles. Rather the argument is( for me at least) even with some repairs it's much smarter economically freeing up capital that can be used to invest in wealth building assets. Vs, A vehicle that is more complex, looses value, wont last as long and i cant work on if I want to. Then there is I honestly dont like all the tech and prefer steel or final floors, crank windows shift levers for 4x4 over switches. Some folks prefer to pay payments drive vehicles they wont be able to work on, and that will not last without expensive repairs. More complex = more potential problems.

Have you tried placing some rubber duckies on the dashboard? I see a lot of Jeep owners are doing that. That foolishness was started in 2020 by a Canadian woman named Allison Parliament. I will have nothing to do with it. Exactly why I don't sell my 2007 Dodge Ram w/5.9 Cummins, but I need a "runabout" vehicle too and that's what I use a Jeep for.

Yet another low mileage engine failure in a late model vehicle. Its like a plague among almost all brands nowadays.

I have not asked for a rental. This is not the time to rock the boat when I am being taken care of. Also, it isn't really necessary as we still have my truck and my wife's car. Some people don't have that option

when jeep dropped the 258 inline 6, the engines went to junk. period! That was a very durable engine. I had one in my 2003. It was under powered for today's driving, but the 3.6L is only a bit less so and now they are pushing a boosted 2.0L 4 cyl. I wouldn't touch one of them.
