Maybe he's one of those kinds of people that want to work by themselves and aren't team players. Playing Pandora trash music real loud is probably a sign he doesn't like minorities either.

I apologize. I didn't intend to open Pandora's box. Hopefully, Savell will come up with an equitable solution to your latest problem in the morning.

So this gay black dude that listens to loud Pandora music came into the bathroom and went to the urinal right next to you, leaned over, and told you you pee like a farmer? OK yeah, that would freak me out too if I were you, LOL

Its not illegal to drive on private property without a license. Its only a regulation violation if its done on a public right of way.

... that’s a tough one for sure... a gay, smelly, pecker gazin colored hand . I hadn’t come across that exact critter yet myself, but you got the odds in your favor in the outhouse for sure since he’ll have his britches undone and halfway down already I’d imagine.

What you’re gonna want to do is, stash you one of those 3 foot fiberglass cb radio antennas from the side mirror of a 93 ram Cummins dually next to the urinal ... when he looks over at your Vienna sausage.... jerk them britches the rest of the way down with your left hand while snatchin up that cb antenna with your right ( one smooth motion now) .... being he’s queer he’ll likely instinctively turn his back to you...and that’s when you commence to whippin the hide right off his dancin butt!!!

Savell, again with the sage wisdom that never fails.

Perfection, but the fella might take a liking to it and follow more closely for a second round next time.

That’s what I picked up.

I’d offer him a chance to apply for the job I posted, but I don’t hire racists.

The sad thing is this is happening at the afternoon job that he liked.... up until now. So I don't know what to make of his issues but I never really have.
Savell with a heck of a response, might be his best one yet.

Coonman there is a job fair Sept. 21st and the Diamond Jo Casino in the conference room. There will be 20 or so different employers there.
I just read an ad for Klauer metals and they have a part time utility helper job paying $17 to $20 an hour.
Go to the job fair and see what's out there.

"Do All Farmers Pee on Their Combine/Tractor Tires?

I grew up on a corn/bean farm in Iowa and my dad would not only hide behind the machinery to water the horse, but he would always go on the tire. Of course imitating him, I did the same.

It wasn't until today that I saw a painting of two boys peeing on the wheel of an old Oliver and realized this could actually be a common practice."

You tell him this is how its done in Iowa!

That's about as much as I got out of it. Guy really seems intuned to crotch action. Remember when he was in a Dennys and a Mexican or black guy was threatening him because of his big bulge?

Can't believe a coon trapper is afraid of a single, big, black guy listening to Pandora music. What is this world coming to?

Yeah he is missing the key to the meat market for coon carcasses.

Dave, make sure you cut all the glands out and leave a paw with fur on it.

Someone should document the wisdom of Mr. Savell. I reckon it would be on the New York Times best selling list. Lol.

You need to research Iowa laws on “mace”. If legal get capstun. It is the good stuff, but doesn’t work on everyone. You are better off just avoiding confrontation and going home and watching the Cubs lose to the Phillies. Situational awareness is your friend.

Please don’t carry a gun or knife unless you are properly trained and practice. Also please know the laws.

Best for you to avoid all situations, since most are in your mind and not actually life threatening.

Take care Dave

I would love to hear your definition of what “rush hr traffic” is! How long did it take you to go 19 miles through rush hour traffic?

Get a can of wasp and hornet spray. Some of the stuff can shoot a long ways. Plus its perfectly legal.

It is Dubuque Iowa, nothing but casual driving in that town to most folks. Des Moines may have traffic problems with all the combined suburb towns. Definitely not Dubuque.

Not really understanding Coonman's gibberish. I can verify lots of lights and traffic on U.S. 20 since Dubuque is squeezed between the Mississippi and the hills. I remember more lights on Business U.S. 20 ( State Street) in Rockford where fat black girls come from. smile

19 Miles to work each way is NOTHING! My dad and Uncle each drove 35 Miles to work , each way ( 70 miles round trip ) 6 days, and many weeks it was 7 days a week., 37 YEARS at the same job. Lots of overtime. And it was HARD WORK !

Why do you complain so much about your job ? If it is so bad, go back to School ; and get a Bachelor's Degree or a Masters Degree in Business Administration, or Accounting,

You got 40 more years of work to do, before you can retire at age 100 ! grin

They got bypasses in Des Moines. Is there a hill there? Des Moines river. More like a creek.

Coonman didn't even tell you the whole story. You got Milwaukee and Madtown traffic comming down 151. You got Milwaukee, Beloit and Janesville traffic coming down 11. You got Cedar Rapids traffic coming up 151 and Waterloo traffic coming in from the west on 20. Then there is the Casino traffic. Don't get me started about those windmills coming in on 11.

Sounds like a pain. Maybe a 34 minute commute.

I know people who would pay top dollar for a 34 minute one way commute.

MapQuest says 25 minutes from your town to klauer. It is 19 miles. You already worked there so they probably won't hire you again so that doesn't matter. The job is advertised for 18 to 20 an hour on access Dubuque jobs. Now I saw on the map directions that you're right next to peosta. There are numerous jobs there and on that end of Dubuque. Of course they'll expect you to not whine so there's that. Probably don't want you to be racist either. From a long ago post is the afternoon job at the garbage company? You know you can ask the cleaning company you work for another assignment if this one's bothering you so much

Coonman, you got yourself a vacuum cleaner.. if he comes to close just give him a good ol whack across the head.. He'll leave you alone. Your a trapper right? An't fraid o nottin!!

If he doesn't have any plates on the truck you can make some for him with cardboard, colored markers, and glitter. Just tell him you didn't wana see him get pulled over for not having plates. You can even write "coonman" on the plates. Not a single sheriff will pull him over.

I say we do a poll.

I am currently 11 miles from my work.

My new house will be 17 miles, so pretty close to 20.

I'm currently working 6 hours from home, that's been pretty close to the average for the last 20 years.

Gotta be one of the funniest coonman classic threads yet.

Think wolfdog should archive it!

Ok, I do agree with that and at times it does happen. With the current job market why do you stay. You need to move on and go somewhere you can make more and hopefully be happier. It's obvious you're not happy there.
Did you hear anything from Bodine?

I wish you the best and good luck.

Will there ever come a day when our ol' friend coonman220 doesn't have some type of trauma/ drama in his life?

He's a great guy, but he sure seems to find the "bad" in everything or anyone, whether its real or imagined.

So this whole ordeal is about a dude that's done nothing to you except listen to Pandora loud? On midnight shift alone, except for the janitor (you) there? You sound special

I hope you do retire and it it everything you have always wanted.

I hope the only work you have, is finding things to complain and whine about.

I really do hope you find happiness one day Dave.

The sad part is if he signs up in 10 mos it will slowly get worse.

Needs a new vehicle, the house isn't paid for, and when he turns 65 Medicare premiums will take 25 to 30 percent of his SS check.

Not to mention that if it comes true that Medicare runs out of money, what happens to Medicare then ?

Medicare trustees project hospital fund to run out in 2026

And then there is the Social Security trust Fund .

Thanks to the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, the Social Security trust fund will run out of money by 2034, according to an annual government report published Tuesday. That is one year sooner than was expected last year.

So, what does this all mean ???

When Social Security goes belly up, they will end up cutting payments about 25 %

Medicare premiums will rise , to make up for the lost revenue, to pay out the Medicare claims

So, whatever you expect to get per month, anticipate a 25 % reduction when Social Security goes broke, AND an increase in the money they take out of the Social Security check each month , when they raise the Medicare premium.

A quick example.

Assume you get $1100 a Month. Subtract the $155.00 Medicare Monthly premium. That leaves $945 a Month. But, if they take 25 % off the $1,100, That leaves $825 a Month. Subtract $155 a Month, and that leave you with just $670 a Month. This doesn't take into account how much the Medicare premium will rise , if Medicare goes broke.

You do realize Medicare has deductibles and pays 80% of your bill unless you buy a suppliment?

You have to ask yourself, can I live on 10,000 a year if you can't work anymore.

Don't forget another 30 dollars for part D unless you don't want drug coverage.

That can be free with just a small copay for each prescription with the Medicare Part D Extra Help.

Did you go to the job fair on the 21st? I'm sure you didn't. Just think this is the job you said you liked so well and you didn't want to work full time because of it. No one will ever understand your thinking but I wish you the best.

Scared to ask them, unless something worse happens, easy job but just few not good things about it, if something happens worse I well , have wait an see, not go tolerate any vandalism or come up bum money or bully tactics, if I complain, I probly be looser an not there nomore as the clean co likely quit contract an pull out , they never find noone to hire pt an that location unless like $20 hr to go there, if they hire another clean co. There rates are higher lots, also they won't close an lock no gate bs, not safe idea on hill where if manual transmission u park 5 ft out roadway an turn hazards on and hope don't get cream at nite with no speed limit signs on new road an ppl tear up down it, drag racing at times an dark, I park so front wheels are past curb an set park brake an lock gate behind me, not go stay in driveway an set park an lock gate in back truck about 10 ft an release park brake an take off an let clutch out on steep incline that never been replace , rely on park brake an lock gate behind truck is not good, 4 years ago with less miles, I rember take off on one ridiculous steep hills in town an another time at full park ramp in lower level at doctor's an back up real steep an clutch hot burnt smell just from that , probly 100,000 miles ago

Coonman, did you hear anything from Bodine on the email you sent? You do know you're now not liking either one of your jobs. Good luck but you may just want to buck up and get a different job and full time. You may just like it and have benefits too.
Take care

Is the guy with the loud music working for the cleaning crew as well, or is he an employee of the place you're hired to clean? If he's an employee of the main company, I'd have to say you're privileged to have a job there and don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Has this guy done anything to you other than bug you with loud music? I mean ACTUALLY done or said anything to you personally.

Just ignore him and do your job. He works for the company that has subcontracted the cleaning company you work for. You're not co workers.
How does he try to start fights if you aren't talking to him? Why is he jealous of you again? He'd rather be working for the cleaning company is that why?
Again just ignore him and do your job. It really is that simple. Most of us here have worked around people we really didn't or don't care for but we still do or done our job.
Good Luck
BTW still waiting on what you found out from Bodine.

Get your boom box out, load it with some D batteries and play some of your favorite tunes Dave.

And Dave, the maintenance guys at my work have a radio playing while they are working. So they can hear it while welding or using air tools to do their job. It is hard work and they like to enjoy it a little.

Relax a bit Dave.

This is what they blast everyday at quitting time.

I for one, appreciate them very much.

They all come back the next day at 7 though.

That is a red flag if I’ve seen one. Might want to clarify what you want to blow apart with TNT.

I hope Coonman is smart enough to conceal at least one sun dried possum tail in each sock before work. If this guy is a s big as Coonman says, I would glue 2 or 3 coon bones to that possum tail. Then go Coonman Ninja on him if he attacks!!!

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Badger23 has asked several times Coonman.......what did you hear back from Bodine??

Are you allowed to wear hearing protection at work?? Put on some ear muffs.

Have you politely asked this guy if he could turn his music down?

If your not willing to politely talk to the guy and ask him if he would maybe turn the music down to a more comfortable level them in my opinion you have nothing to (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) about. Suck it up and ignore him if your not gonna go about it like a normal person

"Just under 70% of African-American children surveyed said they had no or low ability to swim. Low ability merely meant they were able to splash around in the shallow end. A further 12% said they could swim but had "taught themselves"."

You guys aren't taking his dilemma seriously enough.

Suppose the big dude's wife propositions him? He's in a no win situation!

If he turns her down, the dude will beat him fine for disrespecting her, and if he takes her up on her offer, the dude will beat him fine for messing with his wife.
Either way, the dude's gonna beat him up. (so ya might as well take her up)

... so we’re dealing with a brand new profanity wielding hand tonight?

If that’s the case provide some details so we know how to properly address this

.. alright Coonman... now I don’t have experience in this particular remedy to the Pandora folk myself, but through research on here I think you need to find yourself a windmill... evidently the technique is so effective murals of it have been painted on the side of the feed and seed over there in western Oklahoma... think all you’ll need is a windmill and maybe some zip ties for expediency... bottom line is get him tied off to the lowest brace ... jerk them britches down... and blister that hide up worse than a bad case of terry bradshaw shingles !

Short version is he went to his second job and it was locked up so he couldn't get in. So he figures he won't get paid for today but hopes the company doesn't say he never showed up at all. He's afraid the building manager might say that because he told him that someone else, not him, broke the gate.

Then at his other job, he got worked like a dog because they hired a bunch of Mexicans who don't work. They're filthy because they sit on the bathroom floor during lunch break. It's so bad he's afraid to use the bathroom because he might get diseases. One Mexican looked like he wanted to stab him because he said dave wouldn't initial the parts order he needed.

And something about him being upset he didn't get paid his full check when he left early for a doctor appt but I'm not quite following that line of thought.

This can't be real . I'm convinced coonman deliberately creates these ridiculous displays of the English language. I'm far from a scholar but my 5 year old nephew can write better. I feel Dumber every time I read one of these. Sorry no disrespect intended but let's stop the act.

As far as I know, Epworth is still looking for a part time police officer. That would be a nice change of pace for you. Just think, a part time job with benefits too. Plus you wouldn't have to drive far since its in your own town. Maybe you could use the police car to check your traps ?

Close gate is something not pay for an happens after clock out on pH in bldg, actually not cover by clean co ins as done with work an leave, if workman's comp, if something happens, I should check into this, they made fool me say gate fix with trac wheel out adjustment an impossible try close a 60-80 ft long gate, as not slide on track wheel, an go shut a lil ways an push back open as would have a problem in morning an drivers go work not be able get in, kept say lock gate bs, an pretty sure this how hurt arm pull n push hard as can as been hurt months, if price it could file lawsuit possibly as say u got push hard an think funny strain myself an not fix gate , well for 1 thing learn, it don't pay be nice no one as they just tromp u down down run all over u

Dave, don't go work at Lowes. They got one of those dang gates too and it is a pain to close. I'm just a girl so I'd have to sling my whole body weight into it to get it to move because it was off the tracks the whole 4 years I worked there. Kinda annoying for sure. One time no matter how hard I slung my body against it it wouldn't budge. So I went and got forklift and used that to close it, lol. Good thing no one saw THAT or they wouldn've fired me, lol.

How long have you worked there and not been granted access to a forklift? For me it was 4 weeks. If you've been there much longer and they don't trust you enough for that, go find you a new job.

One time no matter how hard I slung my body against it it wouldn't budge. So I went and got forklift and used that to close it, lol. Good thing no one saw THAT or they wouldn've fired me, lol.

I don't have access forklift an if close an not able open , I really been fired , idk anymore about them or if get fired there anymore , had it with Jack A at jobs

Then just quit. I'll never understand that by it's so hard for some older people to quit a crappy job especially when their better options

Because there are 100% more options for someone like you, than someone like him.

That said, YES he should have moved on from this job long ago.
