Everyone does realize that Ukraine was killing/persecuting its own citizens because of their Russian heritage?

So again, lots more to this than just a bully in the schoolyard picking on scrawny kid.

While we are trillions in debt and can't find the resources to fix problems in our own country how can anyone justify spending billions that will just benefit the wealthy in our own country (arms mfg co and politicians).

Probably a dumb question, but why wouldn't they just move into Russia if they are getting killed for being Russian?

Going from the footage coming from there, Putin doesn't seem to worried about killing them while saving them, or under the guise of saving them.

My guess is that Taiwan will be the next Ukraine. This current corrupt administration has assets & schemes in Taiwan also. I would bet those will need to go down also.
For sake of argument this is probably just my opinion

I am betting if China moves to take Taiwan, sniffy Joe will send China help since he is in bed with them too.

My take is that no one is going to try to destroy Russia, just put them back in the box they belong in. No nukes will be used. If Russia starts a nuclear war Russia will cease to exist as a nation for the foreseeable future and their leaders know that. The Russian leaders have seen the superiority of the west's weaponry and training. Why would they think the same would not be the case for nuclear weapons? The bully using Hitler's expansionist tactics must be stopped. Putin is loosing face and if that continues it will cost him his life. The "out" for Russia if Ukraine can keep up the pressure is to remove Putin, withdraw, and take credit for stopping the war. The leaders of the free world will accept that resolution because to do otherwise is to attempt to destroy Russia, leaving Russia only one choice, something no one on either side wants. The Chinese might, but they are not involved in the decision.

If the weaponry uke is using is so superior how come russia still holds considerable uke territory and is raining down missiles on the uke infrastructure almost daily? Uke tries to take back crimea and the russians may use a battlefield nuke....nukes have been used in war before.

Nato has all kinds of nukes.Canada was involved in the development of nuclear weapons after ww2.
We had nuclear weapons until 1984.
We got rid of our nukes long ago.
The Candu reactor is Canadian nuclear technology. We get most of our electricity here from nuke.

I heard today that Germany is not sending parts to Ukraine, and they are crying it is hurting the war effort. Maybe NATO isn't behind Ukraine as much as everyone thinks.

Its very complicated indeed. On one hand you have the bully, and on the other, the actor. Which one, if any can be trusted? Should we be taking sides?

I have to wonder if NATO was all in, or if just the players laundering there money were. Seems odd Germany would block shipments going in to Ukraine. I shipped cargo out of France for the war effort in Kosovo that was customs exempt. The truck drives said that was a free pass at the boarders and nothing was checked. Show them the paper work and go.

Did we take sides in the Iran/Iraq war? We just sat back and watch two crapholes kill each other. By the way, I believe the Irish are the Number 1 persecuted people ahead of the Armenians. wink
