US Steel was our biggest customer buying coal. Many years ago I bought 800 shares at $10 and change. Share price jumped 21% yesterday to $51+. Nippon’s buyout price is $55 a share. I’m still unclear if Nippon is investing $14 billion, or buying out USX . I think it’s a buyout, but after all the anti Nippon rhetoric from both GOP and Dem politicians, this is becoming a “ stealth” sale. Either way, I’m pleased.

Friend of mine works at Pittsburgh mill. He said US steel had something like 800 truckloads of equipment to install at Pittsburgh during Trump's first term. County gave them such a hard time, that they trucked it all to Arkansas and installed it there instead.

Another friend, his son was supervising installation of upgrades and new equipment also during Trump first term. US Steel spent tens of billions of dollars on new equipment and upgrades during those four years. At mills all over the country. I don't know what the total spent was, but tens of billions I would think.

Just a couple more stories, you never heard on main stream news.

Pittsburgh radio has been talking about this situation since it started. Where were they when the county basically forced US Steel the take their improvements elsewhere. Bunch of two faced clowns. Part of the propaganda machine.

Shapiro is another two faced piece of garbage. He has done everything to keep his face on tv and in the papers, his whole career. He's going to run for pres in 28. So it's more of the same from him.
