What are you calling mincemeat ? Over in Europe they call regular ground meat mincemeat.

I’ve done both meat mincemeat and like it but our family has made green tomato mincemeat sine I can remember. We love it. The ground green tomatoes are blanched twice with boiling water then mixed with chopped apples, raisins and spices and cooked for while. Then canned in quart jars. Good stuff.

I’ve done mincemeat with deer and elk and it’s good but I prefer the green tomato mincemeat.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

Do you have a recipe for this? Looks interesting.

My grandmother used to make a small mice pie for Pop every Christmas, I always had a piece with him, everyone else hated it. I didn't mind the small piece i had with Pop though.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure

We’re headed to town to shop but I’ll get the recipe out when we get home and post it.

I'm with everyone else, I hate mince meat pie.

If your watch says you can swim with it, it only applies if you can already swim without it I learned.

My mother made mincemeat pies for the holidays when I was a kid. They were good. She used minced venison, raisons, nuts and other fruit I think. I don't really know what all went into them. I remember it being very rich and flavorful - so a small piece was satisfying. I'm interested in seeing recipes.

My grandma always made mincemeat pie for my grandpa.
He always loved it and never had to fight anyone for the last piece.
Mincemeat pie isn't my cup of tea.
